A free app (which is the third one of a set), providing an easy-to-use self-assessment quiz of the inheritance mechanism or inheritance mode of 15 Mendelian (or "single-gene") disorders that may be learned at college or university. After taking the quiz, a score is awarded & the correct answers are listed for each question that was answered incorrectly. Please note that due to the overlap between X-linked recessive and dominant modes of inheritance, these conditions are classed together in the app as "X-linked", as in many current reference sources.

The app was created by both Edward and Adam Tobias. It was produced to help students and to accompany Prof Tobiass Medical Genetics textbooks (including "Essential Medical Genetics" and "Medical Genetics for the MRCOG and Beyond") and his educational websites (www.EuroGEMS.org).

Prof Tobias is a researcher, lecturer and clinical geneticist. He is honoured to be an invited member of the Education Committee of the European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG) and of the European Board of Medical Genetics.
